GERMANTOWN (WPVI) -- A 25-year-old man is dead after a shootout in a Pathmark parking lot in Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood.
Police were called around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday on the 200 block of West Chelten Avenue.
They found the victim shot in the chest. He also had graze wounds to the head.
He was rushed to Einstein Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Action News was told that shortly before the gunshots were heard, there was an altercation between two groups of unknown males.
Police had to rope off a large area for the crime scene in the shopping center.
They discovered a cluster of shell casings near the shooting scene, and about 50 feet away near a KFC restaurant.
Police are questioning two persons of interest about the shooting. They were taken away in handcuffs.
They are also interviewing some witnesses.
Police blocked off the street to all traffic to investigate.
The victim's name has not been release.
