Girl, 17, dies after weekend shooting in Willingboro, New Jersey

WILLINGBORO, N.J. -- A teenage girl has died after a weekend shooting in Willingboro, New Jersey.

India Simeon, 17, was shot around 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the unit block of Bermuda Circle.

According to investigators, someone opened fire on a group that had gathered outside a residence.

Simeon was hit in the head. She was taken to the hospital but died on Sunday evening.

A male victim was hit in the back. He has been treated and released from the hospital.

Authorities say both victims are residents of Pemberton Township.

There was no word on any suspects, arrest or a motive for the shooting.
