Man dies in Newark, Delaware house fire

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- Authorities say a man has died in a house fire in Newark, Delaware.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of A Street in the Windy Hills section.

Arriving crews were met with flames coming from the roof.

The male victim was pulled from the home and taken to Christiana Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The flames were brought under control within 20 minutes.

No word yet on the cause of the blaze.
