STRAWBERRY MANSION (WPVI) -- A firefighter was injured in a fast-moving fire that damaged a house in Philadelphia's Strawberry Mansion section early Friday morning.

The blaze started around 12:30 a.m. on the 1800 block of North Taylor Street.

Heavy flames were showing on the second floor when firefighters arrived.

Officials say the house was vacant and the fire then spread to a neighboring house with occupants.

Those residents were evacuated but were able to return to the house a short time later.

The fire rekindled around 4:00 a.m. and that's when a firefighter was injured.

He was taken to Temple University Hospital and has since been released.

There is no word on what sparked the blaze.
