Mom and 25-year-old son accused of incest in North Carolina

ASHEVILLE, North Carolina -- A mother and her son are both facing incest charges in North Carolina for allegedly engaging in sexual relations.

Deputies arrested 25-year-old Shaun Pfeiffer, charging him with incest and taking indecent liberties with a child, WLOS reports.

The incident involving the juvenile allegedly happened in August.

Melissa Kitchens, who is Pfeiffer's mother and 45 years old, was also charged with incest.

The Citizen-Times reports that Kitchens allegedly had sex with Pfeiffer in August.

They were both taken to the Buncombe County Detention Facility. He was placed under a $50,000 bond; she was held under a $30,000 bond.
