NEW YORK -- ABC News is providing updates as events warrant of Tuesday's presidential primary in Indiana.

Both Democrats and Republicans held their primary elections. All polls in Indiana were closed as of 7:00 p.m. EST.

Donald Trump won the Republican primary over rivals Ted Cruz and John Kasich. Ted Cruz later announced he was dropping out of the presidential race.

Bernie Sanders is the projected winner of the Democratic primary, edging out Hillary Clinton.

The Democrats have 83 delegates at stake, while the Republicans have 57 delegates up for grabs in Indiana.
