Iowa nurse searches for birth mom

An Iowa woman has enlisted the help of strangers to help find her birth mother.

Megan Hejlik posed for Instagram, listing her birth history and contact information.

The 30-year-old works as a nurse at the hospital where her then-teen mother gave her up for adoption.

Hejlik says she has always known the truth about her adoption, but became curious about her birth mother last year.

The post has been shared on Facebook nearly nine thousand times.

Hejlik has already received a few messages from people who believe they may know her mother's identity.
