Gone are the days of soggy hot dogs!

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Gone are the days of soggy hot dogs! These days, cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field has never been more delicious.

"We try to really hit that mark of introducing new culinary trends and really giving people what they want," said James Hennessey, the executive chef for Aramark.

Several new menu items were showcased at the Linc on Wednesday, including a special meatball sandwich.

"We grind our own beef brisket in-house, and we make our own meatballs and stuff it with asiago cheese and a whole bunch of other herbs and spices," Hennessey said.

It's then put on an Amoroso's roll, covered with Sunday gravy and topped with Parmesan cheese.

New to the Linc this year: Zac's Hamburgers. The mom-and-pop shop is a tried-and-true stop for many in Delaware County, with 31 years under their belt. They're grilling up doubles and boxing up Zac Packs - 4 singles- all made to order.

"You can eat two and pass 'em down. Open your box, eat out of your box - it's a real value," said Pete Politarhos of Zac's Hamburgers.

At Quick and Carmichael's BBQ, say hello to mac and cheese with a twist! It's packed with an oh-so-slight chipotle flavor, plain or topped with smoked chicken or pork, and crumbled cool ranch Doritios to give it a crunch.

"My wife does a great job, but I have to say they top this off better than she does!" said former Eagle Harold Carmichael.

There is even something for the vegetarians this year: Pizzeria Vetri is offering seasonal pizzas. For the fall, it's a spinach taglio cooked in their pizza oven right in the stadium.

"We want to make sure if you get something at Pizzeria Vetri, you're going to come to Lincoln Financial Field and get the same product," said Hennessey.

The Eagles note the stadium has a kosher menu option for fans and, for the past five years, the Linc has ranked among the most vegetarian-friendly professional football stadiums.
