ORTLEY BEACH, N.J. (WPVI) -- Long awaited repairs are being done along a stretch of Jersey Shore that suffered catastrophic damage from Superstorm Sandy.
Wednesday morning crews kicked off a replenishment project to widen the beaches and strengthen the dunes in northern Ocean County.
They started pumping sand in Ortley Beach.
After two weeks of work there, they'll move south to Absecon Island in Atlantic county.
