Love Park reopening delayed

CENTER CITY -- Love Park needs a little more TLC before it can reopen to the public.

Action News confirmed Friday night the date has been delayed by several months, until mid- to late September.

City officials tell us they literally ran into obstacles they were not expecting.

Once demolition crews started digging, they discovered underground structures they were unaware of, which has made the $16 million renovation more complicated.
