Man arrested for alleged threats against police during protest

LAWNCREST (WPVI) -- A 63-year-old man from the city's Lawncrest section has been arrested for making threats against Philadelphia police.

Sixty-three-year-old John Edward Sheerin is being charged with terroristic threats and harassment after allegedly verbally threatening violence at a recent protest of the Frank Rizzo statue.

Sheerin was arrested without incident.
