Pope's visit inspires man to return to faith

The upcoming Papal Visit has already inspired a spiritual awakening for one local man.

Stan Bell stopped Action News reporter Dann Cuellar on the street Thursday night.

He says the Pope's visit inspired him to return to the Catholic faith after 20 years.

So, he went to the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.

And, despite the fact that confessions were not being heard, Father Hernandez made an exception.

"I can't put into words you come over here, get a little lost. And, for someone to welcome you so wholeheartedly, it's a beautiful thing," said Bell.

Father Hernandez welcomed Bell back to the church with open arms and gave him two tickets to the Mass on the Parkway for Sunday.
