Man becomes trapped under his own car, dies in Devon, Chester Co.

DEVON, Pa. (WPVI) -- A man was killed after becoming trapped under his vehicle in Chester County Friday afternoon.

Officers from the Easttown Township Police Department were dispatched around 2:25 p.m. to 235 Lancaster Avenue in Devon.

Upon their arrival officers discovered that the man was trapped underneath his car.

The Berwyn Fire Company assisted with extracting the man, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The man's identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

The circumstances leading to the tragic accident remain unclear.

Police are continuing to investigate.
