Man uses mannequin to drive in carpool lane

A Washington State Trooper says a driver tried to pass off a mannequin as a real person so he could drive in a high occupancy vehicle lane.

Police say the violator was driving 81 mph in the carpool lane near Tacoma.

A trooper pulled him over and then realized his passenger wasn't human.

The trooper snapped and posted a photo of the mannequin.

Now the picture has gone viral.

The driver was cited for speeding and a HOV violation.
