The Marine Corps is planning to remove the word "man" from 19 different jobs to be more gender-neutral, ABC News reports.
For 15 jobs, the word "man" will be replaced with the word "Marine." The four other jobs will use various other words, like "gunner" and "chief." There are some existing titles that contain the word "man," like "rifleman," which will remain intact.
The initiative has not been entirely welcome, with some saying the gender-neutral push is an "overreach of political correctness" and is moving away from Marine traditions.
