Robbery suspect shot by police in Millbourne

MILLBOURNE, Pa. (WPVI) -- A robbery suspect was hospitalized in critical condition after a police-involved shooting in Millbourne, Delaware County.

It happened around 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the 6400 block of Market Street.

Officials say the suspect had taken money out of a cash register at a grocery store.

The man was outside when he was confronted by two Millbourne officers.

The suspect reportedly pulled out a gun and was shot the officers.

Although wounded, the suspect managed to run to 63rd and Market, on the Philadelphia side, where he collapsed.

He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in critical condition.

There were no injuries to officers.

Police are investigating.
