Man killed after jumping from I-495 after crash ID'd

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Police say a man died after he jumped from I-495 moments after being involved in a vehicle crash.

41-year-old Timothy Kain, of Philadelphia, was involved in the crash around 5:49 p.m. Sunday.

Video from the Action Cam shows a red SUV with heavy front-end damage against a guardrail.

After the crash, police say Kain got out of his vehicle and jumped onto the ramp for Edgemoor Road.

He was rushed to the hospital with serious head injuries.

Kain later died at Christiana Hospital.

It's not known why Kain jumped.

Police say an investigation continues.
