VOORHEES, N.J. (WPVI) -- Some kids are spending the final weeks of their summer break practicing their reading.
And they got a little help from a furry friend in Voorhees.
The kids ages 5-11 read their favorite books to "Darby" the Library cat at the Vogelson regional branch.
Librarians say animals don't judge the kids if they make a mistake or don't know a word.
It's that unconditional acceptance that grows strong readers.
