NEWARK, New Jersey (WPVI) -- Officials in Newark, New Jersey, say two children and one woman were killed, and four others were injured after a stabbing inside a home on Saturday.
The stabbing occurred just after 3:30 p.m. on the 100 block of Hedden Terrace in Newark's South Ward.
The victims were an 8-year-old girl, an 11-year-old boy and a 23-year-old woman.
"As officers arrived on the second floor, they discovered five females and one male," said Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose.
Three other victims, a 29-year-old woman, and two 13-year-olds (one male and one female) are in the hospital, according to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.
Officials say 26-year-old Jeremy Arrington is wanted for questioning, and is being labeled as a person of interest.
Officials also believe there is a pre-existing relationship with the suspect and someone inside the house.
