Two firefighters were injured battling smoke and flames at a lumber company in Pleasantville, Atlantic County.

PLEASANTVILLE, N.J. (WPVI) -- Two firefighters were injured battling smoke and flames at a lumber company in Pleasantville, Atlantic County.

It happened around 4;30 Sunday afternoon at the Peter Lumber Company in the 300 block of East Washington Avenue.

Crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the building.

One firefighters injured his back after falling off a ladder.

A second firefighter hurt his knee while battling the flames.

Both were treated and released.

The fire reached two alarms before it was brought under control.

The building, which was in use, suffered serious damage.

No word on a cause.
