Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Nicetown Tioga

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Philadelphia's Nicetown Tioga section Monday afternoon.

It was around 5:20 p.m. when police and paramedics were called out to the report of a pedestrian struck at the intersection of Hunting Park and Wissahickon avenues.

When they arrived they found that one person was struck by a vehicle.

There is no word on the condition of the victim.

The striking vehicle stayed on the scene.

Police are investigating.
