Adult store robbed at gunpoint in Grays Ferry

Philadelphia police are looking for a suspect who robbed an adult store in the city's Grays Ferry neighborhood.

GRAYS FERRY (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a robbery inside an adult store in the city's Grays Ferry section.



It happened on October 28 at the Dream Boutique Adult Store located on the 6000 block of Passyunk Avenue.



The suspect was caught on surveillance walking into the store shortly after 9 p.m.



After browsing around for 5 minutes, he approached the counter and pulled a handgun from his sweatshirt pocket.



He pointed it at the clerk and demanded money.



The robber got away with close to $200 from the register before fleeing the store.



He ran across the parking lot and drove off in a dark colored sedan heading north on 61st Street.



Police describe the suspect as a white male, 25-30 years old, 5'11", 165lbs. with short, light colored hair. He was wearing an oversized black hooded sweatshirt, dark colored jeans and armed with a handgun.
