Man critically injured in Camden shooting

CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- A man was critically injured in a shooting in Camden, New Jersey.

It happened around 2:45 p.m. Sunday.

Police located the victim near the intersection of 9th Street and Carl Miller Boulevard suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

He was rushed to Cooper University Hospital in critical condition.

The victim's mother was also taken to the hospital.

No word on her condition at this time or what caused her to be hospitalized.

Police are investigating.
