Man found shot in the head in Germantown

GERMANTOWN (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating the shooting death of a man in the city's Germantown section Sunday night.

It was around 8:00 p.m. when police were called out to the report of a shooting on the 5600 block of Boyer Street.

When they arrived they found a 56-year-old man shot one time in the head.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made.

The Homicide Unit is investigating.
