Man killed outside his apartment complex ID'd

CLAYMONT, Del. (WPVI) -- Police have identified the Claymont, Delaware man shot and killed Thursday night outside the apartment complex where he lived.

24-year-old Jalan Hudson was gunned down as he walked from his vehicle to the Edge at Greentree Apartments in the 700 block of Peachtree Road.

It happened around 10:00 p.m. Thursday. Police say Hudson was hit several times in the torso.

Medics took Hudson to Wilmington Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police have not commented on a possible motive for the shooting.

A light-colored 4-door sedan was seen fleeing the area immediately after the shooting.
