Man shot and wounded in Grays Ferry

GRAYS FERRY (WPVI) -- Police say a 21-year-old male is in critical condition after a shooting in the Grays Ferry section of Philadelphia.

The incident happened around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday at 26th and Dickinson Street.

According to police, the wounded young man ran to the 1500 block of South Taney Street.

He was shot in the neck and rushed to the hospital. He is undergoing surgery.

Police are searching for two suspects in connection to the shooting.

They say a sawed off shot gun was recovered nearby.

So far, there is no word on a motive.

The victim's name has not been released.
