Police: Woman stabbed, beaten in Chester

CHESTER, Pa. (WPVI) -- Chester police are investigating an early morning stabbing that has left a woman seriously injured.

Police were called out to an alley off of the 800 block of Upland Street around 6:10 a.m. Sunday.

Arriving officers discovered a female lying in the alley semi-responsive.

Police say the woman had been beaten and stabbed.

She was taken by ambulance to Crozer Chester Medical Center in serious condition.

No further information has been released.
