A shooting investigation in Camden has turned into a homicide.

CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- A young woman was killed in a double shooting in Camden, New Jersey Monday night.

It happened around 8:45 p.m. inside a home along the 800 block of South 6th Street.

Police officers arrived on the scene to find two women, 21-year-old Braniya James and 18-year-old Essynce Blakney, both from Camden, suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victims were taken to Cooper University Medical Center where Braniya James was pronounced dead. Blakney is listed in stable condition.

No arrests have been made at this time.
