Flooding shuts down roads in Norristown

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Flooding led to the closure of multiple roads and the rescue of numerous people in Norristown, Montgomery County.

Norristown police began to shut down streets around 4:30 p.m. Monday after heavy rains caused massive flooding, at least three feet of water, in the area.

Streets were reopening just prior to 6:00 p.m.

Crews rescued at least three people from the floodwater.
