NEW YORK (WPVI) -- A California man wanted on child molestation charges was killed in a shootout on Monday in New York City.
Two U.S. Marshals and an NYPD detective were also wounded in the shooting that left Charles Mozdir, 32, dead.
Mozdir had been wanted on child molestation charges in Coronado, California since 2012.
The shooting happened inside the Smoking Culture NYC on West 4th Street as the law enforcement officers attempted to serve a warrant.
A weapon was recovered, police said.
The officers were transported to Bellevue Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
