Pedestrian struck, killed near Millsboro, Del.

MILLSBORO, Del. (WPVI) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed early Saturday morning near Millsboro, Delaware.

It happened at 1:37 a.m. in the southbound lanes of DuPont Boulevard (US Rt. 113).

Police say Cortez L. Solomon, 50, of Florida, was trying to cross the lanes when he was hit by a car.

The driver of the car stopped. Solomon was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alcohol use on the part of Solomon is being investigated as a possible factor in the crash.

There were no injuries to the driver of the car or her passenger.

The crash remains under investigation.
