Berks County food distribution warehouse erupts in multi-alarm blaze

BERN TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Firefighters in Berks County battled a multi-alarm fire inside of a food distribution warehouse.

The fire started around 9 p.m. Sunday at the Evans Food Distributors building along the 1900 block of Bernville Road.

It burned for at least five hours.

Heavy smoke could be seen pouring out of the front of the building.

There is no word on how the fire started.
