Police officer struck in Upper Gwynedd Township

UPPER GWYNEDD TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- A Montgomery County police officer is recovering after being hit by a vehicle.

It happened shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday on South Valley Forge Road and Garfield Avenue in Upper Gwynedd Township.

Officials say a Towamencin Township police officer was struck by a vehicle.

He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are investigating.
