SOLEBURY TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- A teacher has been charged with the sex assault of a teenage student following an incident that occurred in Bucks County.
Alyssia Reddy, 28, was arrested on Friday.
Solebury Township police say the investigation began on November 20 following a report of an alleged sexual assault that happened in a park along Route 32 (River Road) back in the spring of 2017.
Investigators say they discovered that Reddy, who was then a teacher at the Pennington School in New Jersey, had sex with a 16-year-old student from that school.
Reddy, who is now employed at a school in Maryland, is being detained in Baltimore and awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.
She is charged with institutional sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, criminal use of a communication facility and corruption of a minor.
