Person struck by car in Upper Darby

UPPER DARBY, Pa. (WPVI) -- A person was critically injured after getting hit by a car in Upper Darby, Delaware County.

The crash happened around 6 p.m. Monday in the 6400 block of Market Street.

Police say a person walking in the street was struck and thrown to the ground.

The driver of the striking vehicle stopped at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
