PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The legacy of a longtime fixture for the Philadelphia 76ers will now live on for generations to come.
The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission honored Harvey "Super Stat" Pollack Thursday with his own historical marker.
Pollack started working with the then-Philadelphia Warriors back in 1946.
He remained in Philadelphia when the team left for the west coast and joined the 76ers.
Pollack is known for inventing many statistics the NBA keeps track of today.
He worked for the team until his death last year.
