Boy, 10, riding bike hit by car in SW Phila.

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 10-year-old boy was hit by a car while riding his bike in Southwest Philadelphia.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday near the corner of 71st Street and Elmwood Avenue.

Police say the driver stopped at the scene.

The boy was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for treatment.

He is expected to survive.
