CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia police officer killed in the line of duty is being honored today at City Hall.
There was a moment of silence during the City Council meeting Thursday morning for Officer Robert Wilson III.
He was shot to death as he tried to stop a robbery at a North Philadelphia game store.
Two brothers are charged in his murder.
Mourners will say a final goodbye to Officer Wilson during a funeral at the Palestra on the University of Pennsylvania campus on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Attorney General Eric Holder mentioned Wilson's death today, calling it one of the senseless acts that threaten progress in America.
