Driver hurt in fiery trash truck crash in Fishtown section of Philadelphia

FISHTOWN (WPVI) -- A driver is recovering after a fiery crash in Fishtown involving a trash truck.

It happened at 1:30 a.m. Friday at North Delaware Avenue and Marlborough Street.

Officials say the driver rear-ended a trash truck and the car burst into flames.

Firefighters had to pull the driver from the wreckage.

He was taken to an area hospital and treated for several injuries.

There was no immediate word on his condition or on what caused him to lose control of his vehicle.
