CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- SEPTA is changing its fare validation procedures for some rail users.
It will begin Monday, July 10, and impact passengers who travel at Temple, Jefferson, Suburban, 30th Street, and University City stations Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Those passengers will need to have their tickets inspected and punched by the fare collection personnel located at the stairways to the train platforms.
The punched tickets then need to be presented to the conductor on the train for collection.
The change requires all passengers traveling from those Center City stations during that time period to have a pre-paid ticket or pass before going onto the train platform.
