NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Two people were hurt in a house fire in North Philadelphia.
The flames broke out before 5:30 a.m. Friday in the 1500 block of West Oxford Street.
Action News is told police officers on patrol noticed smoke coming from the home.
Firefighters arrived and rescued two people from the burning structure.
Both were taken to an area hospital.
One suffered burns to their hand, the other was treated for smoke inhalation.
There was no immediate word what sparked the blaze.
