VIDEO: 2 families displaced by fire in Millville

MILLVILLE, N.J. (WPVI) -- Fire has forced two families from their homes in Millville, Cumberland County.

The blaze broke out at 2:50 a.m. Monday at a duplex in the 600 block of East Mulberry Street.

Flames tore through both sides of the building before firefighters got the upper hand.

Action News is told oxygen tanks stored on an upper floor for medical purposes contributed to the intensity of the fire.

A total of 13 people from both homes, including 10 adults and 3 children, made it out safely.

All are receiving assistance from the Southern Shore Chapter of the American Red Cross.

One home was heavy damaged, the other completely destroyed.

The cause the blaze is under investigation.
