3 killed in head-on crash in Ocean County, New Jersey

PLUMSTED TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Three people were killed following a head-on collision in Ocean County, New Jersey.

It happened around 11:50 p.m. on Sunday in Plumsted Township.

According to investigators, the male driver of a Ford Bronco was heading northbound on Pinehurst Road when he crossed over into the southbound lanes, striking a Toyota Sienna head-on.

The driver and two passengers in the Toyota were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford Bronco was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, where he is listed in stable condition.

The identities of the victims have not been released.

The crash remains under investigation.
