Action News welcomes baby Sydney Simansky

It is a birth story even two Action News producers could not have scripted.

We want to say hello to Sydney Eloise Simansky who entered the world a tad earlier than expected.

Sydney was born in the back of an ambulance Friday morning.

Her parents, Matt and Vanessa Simansky, were planning to spend a few days at Rehoboth Beach, their last chance vacation before the birth of their first child in six weeks.

Well, six weeks disappeared within a few hours.

So the two of them hitched a ride in an ambulance, but by the time the vehicle arrived at the hospital, there were three of them.

Sydney came six weeks early, but is a robust and healthy young lady, who gave her parents fair warning that she will have a mind all her own.
