PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A New Jersey State Police trooper was involved in a crash Monday in Philadelphia following a police chase, according to sources.

It happened just after 11:15 a.m. at Torresdale Road and Sheffield Avenue in the city's Holmesburg section.

Troopers were chasing a vehicle that was possibly connected to a robbery, sources tell Action News.

The car that was being chased was able to get away, sources added.

Chopper 6 was over the scene of the crash, where a black vehicle could be seen in someone's yard.

A damaged white SUV could also be seen on the street.
