Man found fatally shot near South Jersey bike path

MULLICA TOWNSHIP, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police in South Jersey are investigating after a man was found dead near a bike path in Mullica Township.

The discovery was made around 6 a.m. Thursday near Aleta Road and Locust Street.

Police said the man died from a gunshot wound to the head. The manner of death has been ruled a homicide.

The victim has not been identified, and investigators have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
