Body found inside parked car on same block as earlier home invasion unrelated, police say

SPRINGFIELD TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- A body was discovered inside a parked car in Delaware County on Thursday.

The discovery was made along the 600 block of Yale Avenue in Springfield Township, near where a reported burglary led to a police pursuit and crash earlier in the day.

Yale Avenue is the same street where a resident confronted two home intruders just before noon on Thursday.

Police believe those same intruders crashed into a pole along City Avenue in Lower Merion. Two people were arrested in that incident.

Springfield police say the body is not related to the burglary and does not appear suspicious.

The Delaware County Medical Examiner is working to determine a cause of death.
