Human remains found inside home in Philadelphia's Frankford section

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- An investigation is underway after decomposed human remains were found inside a home in the Frankford section of Philadelphia on Wednesday.

Officers were called to a home in the 1500 block of Foulkrod Street around 12:16 p.m.

Police note that medics pronounced the individual dead at 12:39 p.m.

No further details were immediately available, including the person's identity or cause of death.

Investigators have also not said who made the discovery.
