Buck County community meeting discusses future of Newportville Fire Company

NEWPORTVILLE, Pa. (WPVI) -- The Newportville Fire Company in Bucks County held a community meeting about its future on Wednesday.

Bristol Township Council is expected to vote next Thursday on an ordinance that would permanently shut down the fire company, due to what they say are "longstanding operational concerns."

If the fire company closes, Newportville residents would rely on the Bristol Township Fire Rescue Department when there's an emergency.
