
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (WPVI) -- Friday is Arbor Day, and in celebration, a community tree planting took place in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Mayor Marty Small joined students at Pennsylvania Avenue School to plant trees on campus.
Members of the community and city employees also took part in the event.
Arbor Day is a worldwide occasion that was started in the late 1800s.
It encourages communities to plant trees to fight climate change, enhance air quality and beautify urban spaces.
